This book is designed to give your life a significant upgrade and show you how to level up in practical ways in many areas of your life. It gets to the core of success which is discipline. The book is broken down into 3 areas of discipline which are personal, business and finance, and personal well-being and provides actionable advice on how to cultivate it consistently. None of us have mastered each area but we become stronger by helping others.

Feel free to list the areas (chapters) that you might be strong in and also the areas (chapters) that you are working on or might need help in. This will allow us to help each other!

Please add your insights, questions, personal application & questions to this section below here.
The miracle of self discipline is the discovery of do it or don't do it but no more excuses.

Brian Tracy states - "When you master the power of self-discipline, you will become unstoppable, like a force of nature. You will never make excuses for not making progress. You will accomplish more in the next few months and years than most people accomplish in a lifetime."
There are people working, living and operating in the world around us who HAVE done this. So... why not you and me ?

The quickest way to mediocrity or worse (less) is to do what most people do, taking the easy road and the "short cuts" in life that are all too common. In this way they are taking what are called "The path of least resistance" (easy) and also "The expediency factor" (fast and easy).
To quote Brian Tracy "...most people do what is expedient, what is fun and easy rather than what is necessary for success."

We can try to do many, many things, but without self discipline, we can forget it.

There is seldom anything in the Kingdom that starts big! God is ALWAYS found in small things. God hides Himself in the mundane - in the quiet thing. When we embark on the journey of self discipline, it will be almost unnoticable. Brian racy started with little education, working hard labor, but  started on his journey when he asked the question, "Why are some people more successful than other?"

What are some of the things at Tracy list as why we should read this book?  Think about this, and then post what your personal motives are for reading this book. Is is becuase Coach Mike suggested that you read it, or do you have your own motives for reading it? Why did you take the time and talent to buy and read this book?

Personally I am reading the book to ‘tighten’ up areas in my life some that are known and some that are unknown. Be reading books like this I get practical ‘how to’s’ along with exposure to new ideas and strategies to win in many areas of my life.

In order to get to that level that you intend to be not only do you have to obey, you also have to be able to do things you don’t want to do when you need to do them! That’s what makes Great Leaders!

The one section that spoke volumes to me is “Short term gain can cause long term pain”. Oh so how true this is, taking short cuts and following others advice will cause major set-backs and pain.
