How to video Shawn,
From what I have read thus far, there are a couple of ways you can approach this. One: Yes you can use a water-proof sealant and bead it...
We all know somebody who has been affected by the current downturn in employment. Maybe you have already lost your job or been laid off, or you know it's about to happen.
The question is: What are the three most important steps to take in the event of a job loss?

Although there is tendency to wait especially if the loss came as a surprise, you want to start the process asap.Show more16 years ago

Creating a resume and making as many copies as possible to send to random companies. Also, temporary agencies can provide work to keep you afloat until you find something thats more of your skill set or preference. With cell phones, "heckling" potential employers has also become easier and of an available tactic. Notify the companies that you are calling that they will be hearing from you again and soon. The number one thing that has kept me going when I have lost jobs in the past is that if i lose a job then my new job is finding a job. Eight to tn hours everyday until I get the results I want. Remembering proper dress code (slacks, white shirt and tie) and etiquette (please, thank you, yes sir/ maam, no sir/maam, etc) is so important. And never show up to an interview without doing homework on that company. Last but not least, beggars cannot be choosy. Read the article about the ex-CEO who is delivering pizzas for a living now. Gotta do what is neccessary to keep afloat. Show more16 years ago

Up to God for direction. In the word for instruction. Through yourself to take action. These are hard times and if you have lost your job already, first look up, then take inventory. Who is on your prayer team? Activate the prayer chain! What are your greatest strengths, experiences, and skills? Does your resume really reflect who you are, BE OBJECTIVE! Make sure that your deployment strategy to seek new opportunity is a consistent message that allows you to inform potential employers how blessed they are to have a warrior in their midst. One of the gravest errors that I have seen in the recent resumes I have reviewed is the broad statements of accomplishments that do not relate to metrics.. How have you impacted your past employers? An employer is looking to fill a hole, if you reflect proven accomplishments you have half the battle done. Finally, be professionally persistent. When contacting potential employers cover all aspects of contact opportunity; i.e. voice mail, email, drop off info at the desk, and follow up respectively. Make sure all points of contact are consistently the same. In today's employment searches their are so many applicants employers are looking for holes and inconsistencies to knock you out of the game. Lastly, when you have your house in order, network... Who do you know? What doors can these people open for you. The reason you wait until your house is in order is that when your brother steps out on your behalf you are making him look good as well and where two warriors stand together united, Jesus stands with you as well! Victory is immanent!Show more16 years ago
